Music & Family

      Hello,      This week, I interviewed my dad and got his input on what music is meaningful to him. I started off by asking him his favorite genre of music. He said, "Bluegrass." This was not surprising to me at all. When I was in my mom's belly and just born, my dad was actually in a bluegrass band. I then asked his favorite artist, to which he answered "The Del McCoury Band". I'd never heard of this band, but when he played a little of their music once again, I knew it was something he'd like. Then I asked what his favorite song was, and he replied, "1952 Vincent Black Lightning," which is by The Del McCoury Band. I've inserted the song here!       Next, I asked my dad which instrument he knew how to play. Music & Traditions

      Hello everyone,           My traditions often include music throughout my life. We tend to listen to music at special events and holidays that are either meaningful to the occasion or just a song we like as a family. One thing that my family does is have some music playing in the background almost all day at home, especially at dinner time. My dad is usually the DJ for these occasions, so he'll play a lot of country. I'm actually not familiar with a lot of the music he plays, but it's actually great because he introduces a lot of new songs and artists to me.  One song we listened to the other day was this song. It's called Broken Window Serenade, by Whiskey Myers.              Another one of my favorite traditions actually doesn't involve my family at all.
